Formation and leadership of MV Island Discovery Team at the 2nd Annual Island Innovation Summit, involving over 500 global islands and 10,000 participants.

MV Island Discovery Team, in partnership with the Strategy Innovation Group, following the Discovery Process were acknowledged as a “Best Practice” approach to the Island Innovation Summit 2020.

Strategy Innovation Group and Vineyard FutureWorks will be collaborating with Island Innovation to introduce the Discovery Process to the Island Innovation Summit in 2021.

Vineyard FutureWorks worked with Keith Chatinover and the Dukes County Commissioners on the 2020 Census Complete Count Task Force to optimize the Vineyard’s complete count. Synecticsworld was engaged to facilitate 4 Innovation Labs with a diverse group of Vineyarders to develop a new strategy for the complete count in the face of the Covid crisis.

Introduction of Imagine Corps to key youth stakeholders on the island with the intent to bring the near term and future of Imagine Corps to the Vineyard.

Assisted in the formation of the Vineyard Roundtable - a group of Vineyard stewards with a proactive bias for action for a preferred future for the island and island community.

Acknowledged Dennis daRosa’s role in founding Vineyard FutureWorks and established the Dennis daRosa Legacy Fund to honor Dennis’ contribution.

Adam Turner scheduled Vineyard FutureWorks to present to the MVC Commissioners in January regarding its Vision/Mission and possible Vineyard/Nantucket Islands Summit.

Participated in Climate Action Task Force meetings, MVC and Dukes County Commissioner meetings, when appropriate and time permitting.

“One Vineyard Summit” Concept – Exploring the possibility of a one island collaborative innovation forum modeled after the successful “One Cape Summit”.

In post-event survey, 90% of the participants said a One Vineyard Summit would bring important new value to the Vineyard.

John Cain, Founder of Relentless MV and owner of the Lambert’s Cove Inn announced Vineyard FutureWorks as one of two beneficiaries of the proceeds of the 2021 event, along with the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
