ABOUT THE MV TIMES CHALLENGE...
The MV Times is challenging its readers to apply our imagination to envision Martha’s Vineyard in 2050! Contributions will be included in their last issue of the year and decade.
From the MV Times Editors: For this issue, we’d like to focus on the future, on possibilities and interesting, possibly off-the-wall solutions to problems we face, big and small.
Here’s the Challenge setup: We’re at the beginning of a new decade. Do some daydreaming and tell us how we all came to save Martha’s Vineyard by the beginning of 2050. What solutions did we come up with to address housing or food insecurity? How did we adapt to climate change and sea level rise? How does Martha's Vineyard LOOK in 30 years? (Note: Vineyard FutureWorks is focusing on 2050, while the MV Times challenge includes 2030 and 2040.)
Vineyard FutureWorks' Invitation to Participate: We invite you to unleash your imagination by investing 20 to 25 minutes envisioning a preferred future for the island in 2050.
Click this survey link, and you will have an opportunity to ideate new possibilities for the island in 2050. You do not need to contribute to every facet of Vineyard life in 2050, just those that inspire new thinking. Have FUN envisioning a new Vineyard Future!
